The Bauspielbahn Treffen 2020 takes place from 13.-16. August and is intended primarily as a meeting of Lego railway fans to get to know each other, talk shop and play together. For the public, the exhibition will be open on 15th and 16th of August.
Welcome is the full range from 4.5V to Powered up, from the classic train station to more fantastical scenery.
This time again we have the old tram depot Schkeuditz with a total area of 700sqm plus outdoor area available.
The enclosed grounds can be used for camping or parking of caravans (toilets on the premises are available, showers unfortunately not); Hotels in different price categories are also available in Schkeuditz. We are happy to help with contact details.
Unlike usual exhibitions, our main focus is to arrange a large common layout together with many other builders to allow all trains travelling over all tracks.
In addition, individual layouts or models can be exhibited as well.
We look forward to LEGO railroaders who ...
... want to network with other train enthusiasts.
... contribute a landscape to the joint layout. This can be a railway station, a piece of clear track (rail through countryside), a factory, a bridge or a tunnel and so on. Important is only a construction that allows the connection of other participant landscapes or free track.
... feel like driving long distances (our maximum distance in June 2019 was about 140m).
... built beautiful, realistic vehicles and would like to have them exhibited or driven.
... can bring buildings, accessories, which fit the railway / city, or functional models, exhibits with lights, motors, etc.
We have decided that landscapes with already existing closed railway circuits can not be considered for the layout this time. However, they are welcome as single displays.
The combined layout is planned after registration of all participants and their layouts. The aim here is to ensure a varied driving experience.
It does not matter, ...
... whether you build in a system (MILS, LEN, ...) or not.
... whether you use LEGO or third party or DIY tracks.
... how long your landscape is - everything can be planned from half a meter to many meters.
... if your locomotives are powered by 9V or PowerFunctions / Powered Up or SBrick or Buwizz.
Currently planned is:
Thursday: construction/assembly
Friday: driving without audience, networking, experimenting, playing,
Saturday / Sunday: exhibition
all days: having fun
